October Goals

Time flies. It flies especially fast when you're having fun. So, to stay on track to complete my 25 before 25 list, and to stay on track in general, I am beginning to post my monthly goals on this blog. So here goes for October...

1. Need I state the obvious? Run a half marathon in under two hours.

2. Buy a bathing suit, buy goggles, shave my head, and do some swimming for sport.

3. Visit my best friend Inna in NYC.

4. Complete the long awaited photo shoot and reveal the perfect blog header that I've been dreaming about for months.

5. Do research on which DC bike shops offer maintenance classes. Find a time before the end of the year to take one or more classes.

6. Stretch every day.

7. Begin planning a budget for 9 week bike ride next summer.

8. Stop eating dessert every day. Chocolate milk after a good workout does not count as dessert.

9. Eat lots of protein and whole grains leading up to the half marathon. And after.

10. Reduce caffeine intake, especially in the next two weeks. Caffeine in Gu is allowed. 2x caffeine in Gu is encouraged.

11. Get 8-9 hours of sleep. This is VERY important!

12. Again: Run a half marathon as fast as I possibly can.

  1. You should add drink wine, eat apples, and carve pumpkins! Btw, I'm pretty sure Kevin would be interested in joining you for the bike maintenance classes.
